When a person first moved into the rental home, the outdoor space hardly looked like a garden at all. It was mostly rocks, landscaping fabric, trash, and leftover construction debris, with little reason to believe anything beautiful could come from it. Instead of ignoring the neglected patch, she slowly began cleaning it up and imagining…
A young woman shared a story about her mother, a woman who had spent nearly two decades turning her home into something that looked almost magical. Gardening wasn’t simply a hobby for her mother, because she had worked as a landscaper in her twenties and genuinely loved creating beautiful outdoor spaces. Over the years, the…
A person shared her story about having a garden that had become one of the few things capable of bringing her genuine happiness on difficult days. She posted photographs of her plants, flowers, vegetables, and carefully tended spaces, making it obvious that this was far more than a casual hobby. There was pride in every…
A person shared her story after returning to her balcony garden and barely recognizing the beautiful setup she had been so proud of earlier in the summer. A person shared her story after a routine tree-removal job next door turned into a deeply upsetting property dispute. The neighbors had apparently decided to remove one of their own trees, but somehow the process involved cutting down a tree that belonged to the homeowner as well. There had been no warning, no conversation, and…
A person shared his story about spending a break between semesters looking for something useful to do outside the house. Before long, those walks turned into small cleanup missions whenever she spotted cigarette…
